Lt. Colonel Paul A. Danson, Esq., U. S. Army, Retired

Lieutenant Colonel Paul A. Danson, Esq., was born in 1902 in Algona, Iowa, son of Warren C. Danson, Esq., and Cora Walker.  He & his wife, Alice, have two children, Robert who later joined the Air Force, and David.

Colonel Danson joined the Army Reserves circa 1930, serving until called to active duty during World War II.  While in the reserves he continued to live in his home town of Algona, Iowa, where he served as a Justice of the Peace.

During 1940 Colonel Danson was called to active duty, and served during the war with the Army Judge Advocate Corps and later in the Korean War before retiring from the military in 1960 at his home in Phoenix, Arizona.

Colonel Dawson was a member of the Arizona Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America, then called The Retired Officers Association of America.  He served as the Arizona Chapter President from 1969 to 1970.

Colonel Danson died on 1 March 1998 and is buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona, beside his wife, Alice.
